Your recordings stay under your control
Movies, edited copies, filming scripts, saved looks and settings are stored on your device. Rollside Camera has no account, advertising, tracking or developer analytics service. It does not upload your footage to a developer server.
Editing creates separate copies. Export wanted recordings before deleting the app. Recently Deleted and Files provide controls for your local videos; Photos copies must be managed separately in Photos.
Paired devices and sharing
After you authorise pairing, camera controls and status use Bluetooth. Live view, requested sound checks, video browsing, downloads and edited-copy delivery use an encrypted local connection with your authorised device. Pair only with devices you trust. Forget a paired device to revoke its remembered access.
Sending a video to your paired Mac or another app is your choice. Sharing services, Photos, iCloud and device backups follow your Apple and recipient-service settings.
Camera, microphone and speech
Camera and microphone access enable recording. Bluetooth and Local Network enable pairing and direct transfers. Optional Photos access adds saved copies; this workflow does not read your whole Photos library. Clipboard access occurs when you choose Copy or Paste.
Optional voice follow uses on-device speech recognition while enabled and recording. Recognised speech advances your script locally. If on-device recognition is unavailable, voice follow is unavailable; timed scrolling remains available.
Face and lighting analysis
Face detection, landmarks, lighting guidance and face adjustments run locally. Rollside does not use Face ID or identify people. It does not create an identity or biometric profile, or send face measurements to the developer.
Settings and diagnostics
Saved preferences and pairing credentials remain local. Remembered control credentials use this device’s Keychain and are not synchronised through iCloud Keychain. Apple may handle operating-system diagnostics according to your device settings. If you send a support message, the developer receives the information and attachments you choose to include to respond to your request.
Contact and your choices
Manage permissions in iOS Settings, disconnect or forget paired devices, and choose Files-only saving if you do not want Photos copies. For privacy questions or help, contact support@soma-meditation.com and mention Rollside Camera.
