The current beta requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Film on a compatible iPhone; available cameras, formats and controls depend on the hardware. iPad serves as a remote. Unsupported recording formats are not enabled.
Begin with a short take.
On the filming iPhone, choose Film here and allow Camera and Microphone when requested. Check the picture and record a short disposable clip. Stop, wait for saving to finish, then open Videos and listen to the recording. Keep wanted originals backed up before replacing a development installation.
Add your remote.
Install the same beta on a second iPhone or iPad. Choose Use as remote, keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, and enter the filming phone’s displayed pairing code. Allow Bluetooth and Local Network when requested. Keep both apps open for supported remote operation.
Keep the original.
Supported editing saves a separate copy. Open a video’s Versions group to see its original and verified edited copies. Use Recently Deleted to restore a deleted local video. Copies in Photos and other apps are managed separately.

Start with short clips, playback and sound, editing, separate-copy export, pairing and reconnection. Sustained capture, heat, battery, audio quality and interruption recovery remain under qualification. These are beta test areas, not claims of completed production validation.
